Classes offer a broad based introduction to drawing & painting, suitable for beginners and also for students with experience who would welcome further structured development and a focus around drawing as a process. Students will learn to use and understand space, proportion and form, look at drawing techniques to consider tone, mark making and the emotional sense of drawing. Each term has a focus that considers artists and their processes and looks at drawing through print, colour and 3d forms, with the opportunity for off site visits and group workshops.The Wandsworth Common Drawing & Painting group is a friendly group who love to explore drawing as a process and share experiences with each other.
Amanda Rogerson is an artist and designer, working in higher education, foundation studies and with adult learners, teaching the principles of drawing and painting. Having studied at the Royal College of Art, observational drawing remains central to her work. She has a range of skills and expertise working with acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, charcoal, pastels, printing processes, ceramics and 3d materials.
